There's a rather notorious mashup of one Nickelback song and another Nickelback song, both hits, and carbon copies of each other; haven't been able to find it yet...

They played the video's side by side and the chords for both songs are EXACTLY the same.

Shoot... Nickelback's tendency to recycle hit songs isn't what bothers me. Rather it's that their entire style of music is just so lame. You know the kind where their vocalist tries to sound all 'tough' when singing but their songs are, quite often, pretty wussy. Don't get me wrong, I like plenty of wussy-sounding music; but at least Teenage Fanclub, Lemonheads, Travis, and the Polyphonic Spree don't pretend to be hard asses like Nickelback does.

And, I guess it doesn't surprise me that Def Leppard sucks in person; I saw them perform on TV recently and their singer totally has no voice these days, if he ever did.
 
As for mashups, I remember hearing a few that I liked on one of the Sirius satellite stations a year or two ago; one song had a sample that included some early 90s rap chicks mixed in with some classic 80s tunes and it was kind of catchy. But I'm not overly familiar with mashups. I will say that the Beatles "Love" is super tame when compared to whatever strange mashups I heard on satellite a while back. Not to say "Love" isn't a cool listen, but it maybe could've been even cooler with a more aggressive mashup.

Ya, the Black Sabbath/ Led Zeppelin mashup was by far the best and is fucking Yesfan's hot sister a prerequisite to enjoying a good mashup???? :banana-rock: :teasing-tease:
 
Anyone know how to "mash up" Steely Dan's 'Do It' again with the Doobie Brothers' 'Jesus is Just Alright With Me'? I always thought they had the same sounding drum intro.
