Kinda sorta related: last week's Time had an article about mental disorders known, and treatable, in humans have been found in animals, particularly domesticated animals with man-induced stresses (cages, beatings, boredom, solitary) and they could use MRI to determine, yeah, it was the same section(s) of brains that were activated in both hoomans and pets. They're even prescribing the same medications to help these animals (after all, they were originally tested on animals for safety).
