New TV - 75" TCL QM8

Yikes, hope you're ok.
It hurt a lot and bled a bit, but it turned out to be not much more than a nick. I think the pain was mainly due to the force and the location.

I am in the process of painting the gear caddy now and will definitely post pictures when I'm done. I'm fairly happy with how it turned out and it cost almost nothing to make. I could have bought an off-the-shelf solution and made it work, but this was a lot more fun.

First impressions of the Hisense A7:

The A7 is Hisense's budget line and an edge-lit set, so I didn't expect the picture quality to knock my socks off. HDR is a bit less effective without local dimming. Blacks are not as dark. These were not surprises. Having said that, the picture is surprisingly decent. I am very happy with it for the purpose I bought it for, and it is definitely the nicest looking TV I've ever had in a bedroom. I have ZERO complaints, based on the sub-$200 price point. It is also very easy to wall mount by yourself, because it only weighs 15 pounds and the 43 inch size makes that quite manageable.
