PANTERA - Vulgar Display of Power 20th anniv.

Heard a "NEW" song yesterday by PANTERA, that confused me so I called the radio station. Found out that they are coming out with a 20th anniversary album. It's a remastered version of their Vulgar Display of Power with a previously unreleased song titled "Piss". Sounds like a few songs off of Far Beyond Driven, all mixed into one song.

None the less, I pre-ordered yesterday. No box set that I could find will be released. :handgestures-thumbdown:
Can't wait though. If a box set does come out, I WILL get that too.

The Pantera could be called a vulgar display of power but in reality it was very unreliable and prone to breakdowns.

Oops.

I give up trying to post a youtube video. I haven't the slightest idea where I need to remove the extra "IBo4fbv" crap when imbedding. That was supposed to be the "Piss" video to said unreleased song.

On a side note, asked the wife, well..... hinted VERRYYY strongly that this would be a great Fathers day gift collectively from the kids.

Being a mega thrash/death metal head you would think I would be all over this.....but I am not. IMO Phil is the AXL ROSE of the metal world and he just aggrevates me. Plus as much as I liked Pantera I cant see buying the new disc for just one song.

SLAYER!!!! :music-rockout: :music-rockout: :music-rockout: :music-rockout: :music-rockout: :music-rockout:

I feel the same way about Kerry King. He's great at what he does, as is Axle Rose and Phil Anselmo, so on that I can relate. I couldn't support someone as Kerry for other reasons not associated with this.

My mom is real good friends with Axles step-dad, we live in Lafayette, IN which is where Axle is from. He's mellowed out now, but for what I was told today (of all days).

Phils deal is just good friends getting to each other and crossing a line. I've done it with my friends as well. After some time, we're over it and move on.

Death metal is to much for me, but to each there own.
I'm a huge PANTERA fan and will buy every version if the money, and the wife, will allow.

I hope you don't feel that this is an attach, It's just my opinion as that above is yours. I'd go into more detail about what I've said and where I stand, but I'm on my phone and It's a pita to type.

:teasing-neener: Dont feel attacked at all, I love talkin metal......Monkey was my bud for this........miss him.

One other problem I have with Pantera is that they didnt start out real METAL but they sure cashed in.

At least King and Slayer started out thrash and stuck to thier roots......... :eek:bscene-buttred: :teasing-neener:

The pictures of Pantera from the early days when they had the glam look are priceless.
