Projectors for imperfect rooms

I get building a crazy bright projectort to deal with ambient light. Thats great if you can afford it. Id kill to have big screen projector system in the living room since the sofa is 13' from the screen. What I don't get it is the need for the mirror system to point the pj at weird angels. How likely is it that someone would have the resources to buy a $45,000 projector and have it mounted inside an 8" thick wall, buy cant find a way to position it 90 degrees relative to the screen.

Wow, Brent Butterworth AND Geoff Morrison are at S&V now? I remember those guys when they were still at Home Theater Magazine back in the 90s. HTM was cool back then with some of the test articles and product reviews. I also remember all those "I hate Geoff" emails too. That was like a running joke :laughing:
