PS3 Sound But No Picture

I haven't used my PS3 in almost a year. When I last used it, it was connected via HDMI to my Pre/Pro. For the last year it's been unplugged and sitting vertically on my living room floor. Today, I had the urge to play a game. I disconnected the HDMI cable from the back of my cable box, plugged it into the PS3, connected the power cord and turned it on. I heard it but I didn't see it. I tried this 3 times all with the same result. Yes, the TV was on. Yes, the input was correct. No, it's not (or at least wasn't) set to output something different than my TV can handle because both my living room TV and my HT pre/pro PJ combo are both 720p. Besides, if I could hear it, I should've been able to see it.

Any ideas?

It might be set back to the analog output.

Try the composite video cable and then go in the menu and set it for HDMI???

Good luck man.

turn on your ps3,

hold the power button down for three to four seconds. this resets your audio and video settings.

hopefully this helps.
