$ Ratio of HP amp to cans...

I have Shure IEMS (SE425s). I bought the Leckerton UHA-4 amp for various reasons, less about sound (although hoping it matters a bit).

But mainly, I need an amp to handle the line out from my Blu-Ray player so I can watch movies quietly at night when the family is asleep. Yes the Electric Avenue amp was fine minus too much gain for my IEMs (Gary did offer to change it for free). But I also was compelled by the DAC, x-feed, low/high gain, digital volume control and overall size of the unit.

Therefore, I chose it for that reason. Clearly the headphone to amp ratio was 3:2. But I am happy.

Overall though, the original comment about ratio, I agree with.

I have used several IEM's with my WA2 as well as the SchIIT A2 and quite honestly didn't think that the difference was good enough to warrant the $200 A2 let alone the $1200 WOO. Unless of course one has the money to burn.
I have also used my 650's and T1's with portable players and my receiver without an amp and can HONESTLY say that those two cans sound SOOOOO much better when amped.
