Reminder!! Mad Men tonight.

Tonight at 10 is the final season of Mad Men. Or something like that!! I was confused because Netflix said it had Season 7 on starting March 22. It has the first half of season 7 I believe on Netflix and this is the second half on AMC. Does that make sense?
Anywho, for those interested program DVR for 10 eastern.

They had 6 or so episodes in the Fall and the last 6 or so episodes this Spring.
DVR'd...think I'll save up 2 or 3 episodes to watch together.

On another note sorta...a friend of mine from HS is in the first episode (of the second half of the season).

Thoughts on the finale?

I liked the resolution for Don, but I wish they could have had a very brief scene of him in NYC giving the pitch to Coke execs. It bugs me that they didn't do this. The show became popular on office scenes like that and I think the audience deserved one last glimpse of Don in his glory. That's what made the show good IMO.

Also, I ended up feeling pretty bad for Joan's character. Was she happy in the end? Not that every story has to have a good ending, but hers kinda sucked compared to her peers.

I thought the jump to the Coke commercial was too abrupt. Like you , it would have been nice to see him in the boardroom, no audio, just his lips moving, doing his pitch, then the Coke commercial comes in. But what do I know? I thought the Stan ,Peggy thing was a bit cheesy but well acted , so what the heck I'll take it.
I think Joan finally had a chance to be taken seriously for her brain and not her looks and she jumped on it. I think she probably was happy? Just my two cents.
