RMAF 2011

Some seriously expensive shit there... damn even some of those bookshelves are $20k a pair!

Magico's Alon Wolf shows off his new Q1 stand-mounted speaker ($24,950/pair) . . . .

But they're magical . . . . , :music-listening:

Umm Ya, cuz I would have to have a magic wand shoved up my ass to afford them.

Upon reflection, the above statement is a bit odd. But, it sounded right in my head.

Ah, the things Randy will do for money... a novel approach to busking!

I get a charge out of the cable booths, and everyone states in their setup what cables were used to connect their gear.
I'm going to purchase some booth space, set up my gear, and state it connected with coat hangers. Also, i'll demonstrate a CD transport ($6,500.00), hand crank driven, not belt.

Just got done drooling over the Can Jam gear, which leaves little doubt in my mind, some people have lost theirs.

Yeah, I think headphone folks may actually be more insane in general than speaker audiophiles...

Actually, I better understand why the headphone guys behave as they do. The nature of that format removes so many of the variables that small differences are easier to hear. The speaker/cable/amp/pre nuts are the ones I can't get my head around.

I think all you headphone Nuts should upgrade to this, the Woo Audio dual mono block amps that cost 10k, http://www.soundandvisionmag.com/photog ... #container

Lets talk loans.

As with many things, the law of demishing returns come into play, and dollar amounts aren't incrimentally related to improved sound quality, but more the the Jones.

There's little doubt that HPs are more intimate, accurate and revealing than traditional speakers. If I had lots of FU money, I'd dive into the HP rabbit hole head first.
