Well, in the immortal words of Dave Mustiane:

The System has Failed!

As of 2009 there were approximately 17.6 million people in the greater LA Rea so it is not surprising that 7800 people showed up.

The status que in Washington is terrified of Ron Paul. He threatens their ideals, way of life, and existence, so don't expect national media attention any time soon.

My point was that his rallies are drawing crowds 2x and 3x the size of the other candidates, yet his poll numbers are exactly the opposite.

The more official number for this event was around 10,000.

Romney's largest crowd was around 2,200.

Yet Santorum, the source of these fine gems was "ahead" of Paul.

1. "I don’t want to make black people’s lives better by giving them somebody else’s money."
2. Calls Obama a snob because Obama wants kids to go to College.
3. Says Universities are "indoctrination mills" against Religion-- that's mainly why Obama wants them there.
4. On Abortion even in the case of Rape: "I think that the right approach is to accept this horribly created, in the sense of rape, but nevertheless, in a very broken way, a gift of human life and accept what God is giving to you."
5. Claims nearly every University in California refuses to teach History anymore (completely untrue)
6. Completely misrepresented JFK's Separation of Church and State speech
7. Says no way women should serve in Combat
8. Refused to admit Obama is a Christian in public appearances
9. Old people in the Netherlands should wear wrists bands saying "Don't kill me" in case they go to a hospital they might accidentally get euthanized.
10. Defending Marriage is "The Ultimate Homeland Security."

yup, the system doesn't work and the powers that be won't let Paul win even if he won. Makes me wonder, if we know this, then he does and yet still decides to run under the R when he could just ride independent.

I was very pleased to see Santorum withdraw. What the hell has gone wrong with the Conservative movement? Most of these idiots today would probably call Robert Taft (Mr. Republican) a socialist or worse and would thing Eisenhower was a downright pinko. Not one of them can hold a candle to William F. Buckley, Jr. Am I the only one who thinks Conservatism has gone off the rails? Most of what passed for Conservatism these days is big-government religious fascism.

Mr. Buckley was a moderator for a republican debate quite a few years ago, and I distinctly remember, after the contest, wishing he had been one of the competitors... :|

That's all the people that vote for him. All in one place. Not everyone can do that trick. Or would want too.
