Roxio Game Capture ?

My son is asking me to find info about the Roxio Game Capture. But the unit needs to be connected to his xbox360 & by a USB cable to the PC (which is in located no where near the room). Guess he wants to "record" game play on youtube. Here's a link:
http://www.roxio.com/enu/products/game-capture/console/overview.html
Can't do this without some kind of wifi connection to home PC. Remember, I'm no computer guru...Thanks

What this is is a device that you connect between the Xbox and the TV and then to the computer. You have to use component video cables and analog audio cables between the Xbox and RGC and another set between the RGC and TV. You also connect a USB cable between the RGC and the computer. Then you run software on the computer that records whatever happens on the Xbox. Once you have that video on the computer you can do whatever you want with it, including uploading it to YouTube. You don't need an extra internet connection (wifi or otherwise). However your computer is connected will suffice.

Thanks Towen, but the issue is my PC is located on the other side of the house.
After looking at this, not sure of quality, not so much the video transfer, but the audio might be the weakest link here.....father & son doing tech stuff........father not a guru...just a dumb arse....and an old fart as well.

That's going to be a problem, and wifi isn't going to fix it. You're either going to need long video/audio cables or a long USB cable. Or... move the PC or Xbox.

As for quality... It's not going to be great but it hardly needs to be. Posting vids of video games isn't exactly supposed to be reference material.
