He was a truly troubled soul. My brief experiences with him have left a very poor impression on me. But, much of the art he created was amazing.

Heard the news this morning. What a tragedy. Scott certainly seemed to battle with his demons.

Sad, I am a big STP fan, really dig Velvet Revolver, what a talent. Never saw him love, but he appeared to put on a great show.

I never saw him Love either, but I did see STP live during their tour for the "purple" album. I'd say it was the height of their career. The stage was dark, with a massive (20ft high) lava lamp as the main light source. He sat in a big (huge) rocking chair the entire time with sunglasses and didn't look excited to be there.

The band was great, and his vocals were good, but..........
 
He was typically an ass and had all the problems of stardom. His work was usually good, when he was sober enough to perform. But few people could get along with him.

I fought with him because I refused the drugs he offered me.
