Sony's new OLED HDR UHD Television with Acoustic Surface

I'm thinking about what this tech cost just a couple years ago that wasn't as good.
Yes I'm sure your right. What gets me is just how incredible the picture is on a 1,500.00 set of the same size.
Me not being a videophile I could never justify the doubling of the price. Sure for people who are really into video I guess that price is actually not bad at all.

You are talking to the crazy person who spent $6000 on the 75-inch Sony flagship two years ago. :shocked:
 
I have read several reviews and they say the picture is equal to, but not better than, similar LG sets with the LG sets being $500-$1,000 less.

That is true with native 4K material, but the Sony has substantially better video processing and does a much better job of making 1080p content look great. The panel itself is identical.
