Starz......Spartacus Blood and Sand

I just finished watching the blue ray mini-series....I do not subscribe to Starz so I had not seen it at all.

i was pleasantly surprised. The stylized over the top violence and the "Shades of the 300" thematic are well played out. A little tough with the British accents on Romans but still a good view.

Certainly not a history lesson but just good fun.

Knew I wanted to at least check it out when the commercials started.
Wasn't sure after the first episode or so, but once I got past the first
few I was hooked.

Too bad the guy who plays Spartacus (Andy Whitfield) has had a recurrence
of Cancer and the part is going to be recast. He was pretty damn good.
Hope he recovers well.
