Studio 20 v2 Recap

heeman

PRETTY HAPPY.........
Famous
Tonight I have been listening to my office system:

Ripped Music WMA Lossless
Fubar II DAC
Parasound HCA 1000A Amp
Paradigm Studio 20's v 2

I originally bought these speakers and amp to be used in the 5.1 upgrade 1.5 years ago, but replace them with Studio 20 v1 black and a 3 channel B&K amp. I convinced the wife to let me set up the office system above which is used regularly.

I paid about $410 for these 20's off of ebay including shipping. I think that they are a great speaker for that price.

Let me just take a second to say that these speakers sound just superb in here. No special acoustical treaments, just sitting on the floor,,,,and maybe the material has something to do with it........Gregg Allman "Just Before The Bullets Fly".

That is good news. Since I am going to have an out of the way bonus room I was considering Paradign v2's for that room. Ebay and A-gon are rotten with upgraders.

I love mine and I really dont see me getting rid of them any time in the near future.

That's Barneypoo69 to you. All hail Barneypoo69's Boom Boom Room. :bow-blue:

Sorry Mr. Zing, but I have mixed emotions about "poo69". I wouldn't know if I was coming or going............

Okay my friends........my last name is Fife......thats where the Barney comes from. While in High School my friends added the poo after "Winnie the Pooh" (I have no clue who did that). So I was called Barney Poo as a nick name.........I graduated in 1969 (Flower power, sex & wine....we're the class of 69 or our best one was..I'll do yours if you'll do mine...we're the class of 69).
Usernames sometimes require a number.....Barneypoo69......I can always remember that username....Barney is always used in forums etc..... :music-listening:

I do need to update some pics....I quit using webshots along time ago....I do have a photobucket account.....

It has some pics I took at Flints place at one of his GTG's....

My family name is Mackwood. My parents named me Jeff.

Why complicate things? :)

I am an arrowhead... no, I make cigarette lighter spark... no, I am used to make primitaive cutting and scraping tools.

Shit... my name sucks!

what?? been away for a little while and it looks like i missed a change in the consensus. people are preferring the v2 now? last i heard (a few years ago) v3 is the shite - a significant improvement over v2 and still the champ even after the introduction of v4. having a pair of v3 20's i found this thread because i was curious if the v5's are something to consider. anyway, just surprised to see people seeking out v2 over v3, as i imagine you can get them for the same price.

Barney, your speaker stands are the shiznit! :handgestures-thumbup:

The tops on the stands is stone/marble type. Still enjoying these speakers.
