Recorded this program this morning off the History Channel, am just finishing it. It documents NASA's history from Sputnik through the SLS (Space Launch System) to Mars. I'm intimately familiar with the space program's history from Mercury thru the ISS/Shuttle, and was familiar with Vietnam, the Cold War, the Kennedy assassination, the immigration of Werner von Braun and his team, and the unrest of the 60's, but didn't really understand how they all inter-related and pushed each other. Very interesting! :handgestures-thumbup:

Interesting, I'll have to look for that. All I can contribute right now is Tom Lehrer's song, "Once the rockets go up, who cares where they come down? That's not my department - says Werner von Braun."
