Yeah from what I understand the x-30 is hard to come by and still sought after for some reason. I'm using it two different ways now. I don't have any HDMI capable equipment so I worked around that for the Hi-def. formats. I'm using the analog outs on the player, with the sub output going right to my x-30. I initially had that same connection going to the multichannel on the receiver with the rest of them. But I discovered that for some reason when I would toggle the input modes between multichannel in and my optical in for sources like DD/DTS I wasn't getting the same LFE output between them...I had to keep walking up to the x-30 and turning it up for Hi-def stuff even though my setup at the receiver I had the gain all the way up. Bypassing the receiver for that connection turned out to be the way to go, the only caveat is that the sub/LFE channel doesn't work with the master volume though...
