Okay, I first heard of this project yesterday on Dr. Waldrep's blog (AIX Records), then today it popped up on my "Recommended" list on Amazon; I've preordered it.
The first two or three Beatles albums came out in Mono, and I recall reading that they started out on 3-track machines. So, any 5.1 mixes will be done via software/ProTools/algorithms/magic; but after reading the effort that was put into the video tracks above, it's probably worth having.

I consider my music library pretty extensive, but I have to admit I only have 4 vinyl disks of Beatles, the two "Greatest Hits" albums photographed in the same spiral staircase ("Red" and "Blue" albums?). So even if these 5.1 "mixes" are crap, the mono/stereo mixes on CD will be worth the price, for me.

Thank you Botch, just put in my order.
Just wondering, does the Michael Jackson estate (or who did he will it to ?) still own the "rights" to the Beatles ?

It says the video has been upconverted to 4k resolution. That seems odd but not complaining. Sounds like a must have.
