The Official Annex Iron Man 3 hype thread

^ IM3 has plenty of earmarks of being a quality genre film. I'm a little concerned about rehashing plots where enemies are constantly using Tony's own technology against him though...didn't we get a good bit of that in both 1 & 2?

Okay now I'm really concerned about the running time of 1 hr 49 mins... :handgestures-thumbdown: chop off 10-12 mins for end credits. Even if its the best possible use of 100 mins I know I'm gonna want more. Weak :laughing-lettersrofl:

Saw this last night (9:30 sneak preview) I'll let others draw their own conclusion. 3/5 for me. One sentiment within the comic book genre continues to ring true with me time and again: The greater the villain(s), the greater the hero. Amazingly Sir Ben Kingsley was awesome despite playing a lame-duck character (you'll see what I mean). As usual RDJr was awesome but ultimately the story was a let-down. Enjoyable this time 'round for it's comedic value, but like IM2, I don't see myself watching this often. Bring on Star Trek! and then MAN of STEEL!

Either I misread something or IMDB had their data wrong (probably me :happy-smileygiantred: ) but this movie is more in the 2 hrs 20 min range. So no disappointment from me for running time. Just wish the story was more solid.

My 5 year old is BEGGING to see this tonight. No thanks on the craziness of opening night, but I'll be taking him soon.

If the movie is of good quality I like some 2.5-3 hr flicks definitely!

We saw it Sunday morning in IMAX 3D and it was really good. It's very much another well-told "episode" in the Iron Man story. When more people see it, I have a question about the very last words on the screen (after the cookie at the end of the credits).
