Now, notice that I'm not the only one who can't follow the rules here... :angry-tappingfoot:

Connection - Rolling Stones

Technically, the game's over since this entry is one word and has been used twice already.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow - Phil Collins

Phil Collins??? Have you heard this version by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole? http://listen.grooveshark.com/s/Over+The+Rainbow/2gmov8?src=5

I'm glad you asked! Phil sings one verse of this song at the very end of his Face Value album, a capella, and mixed so low most people who own the disk don't know its there.

Same thing for some of the Genesis concerts (Seconds Out and Three Sides Live), except you hear Ethel Merman's "There's No Business like Show Business" as the last song fades out.

And starting over...

Yellow Ledbetter - Pearl Jam

(Five Schrute Bucks if you use Ledbetter in the next entry)

"General Custer Led Better", New Riders of the Purple Sage. :eek:bscene-birdiedoublered:

Mister Custer - Larry Verne

"Please Mr. Custer, I don't wanna go
Listen, Mr. Custer, please don't make me go
There's a redskin waitin' out there, just fixin to take my hair
A coward I've been called, cuz I don't wanna wind up dead or bald"

Sorry, OT again, but:

Mister Custer - Larry Verne

Is he also the guy that did a song that listed a bunch of western heros, had a badly-played bugle call, and the only line I can sorta remember is:
" And there was even Doc Holliday, Buffalo Bill, Jesse James <bad bugle part>
And two hundred Cavalry, but I can't remember their names."

That's been haunting me for decades, and I'd love to have/hear it again...

EDIT: I just listened thru 7 of of Larry Verne's .mp3s on Amazon, didn't find the song I'm looking for but vaguely remember "Mr. Saki", "Mr. Livingston", and "Rollercoaster".
Damn, I miss Dr. Demento... :(

What? How does Custer fit in? I didn't have that word in my title.

Me thinks my post got skipped.

This died a quick death, didn't it?

Let's give it a little CPR.
