I do some pro bono work with kids from time to time.

This was a School of Rock recording done with one AT 2020 mike on a 7 foot stand in a room with a 12 foot ceiling. Richard was running the mixer to his PA Triamped with one 18 sub on each side and mids were 2 15 , horn for the highs on each side.

Mic captured live show from 15 feet off stage.

I for one beleive in the arts being taught to our children.

This group did good things but at a cost to the parents in after school program from a music store. When I was growing up the music program in school was from junior high threw high school. Today it all depends on the school system.

Drama programs and music programs with the other arts should be supported.

I ran the mic in to the M-audio Quattro with the Omni io input. I also use the inserts to place a presonus BlueMax in as a limiter to protect the recording chain on live events.

That's great! I certainly agree that all kids should be exposed to music, and get as much education as they can in it especially when they're young. It's something they may not fully appreciate until they're 40... but it's worth it in the end IMHO.
