Wall mounts

I want to install a wall mount above my fireplace that extends and swivels from right to left. The idea is that I can turn my tv to the kitchen while cooking etc, if I am unhappy with the angle. I was think about something like this.

That's about as robust a mount I've seen from monoprice. I installed one for my wife's cousin and I was not impressed with the quality of the steel or the hardware. BUT it hasn't come crashing down yet...I would say go for it and if you aren't impressed return it.

BTW, if you're not happy with the monoprice mount, my favs in order of quality/price lowest to highest are Peerless, Omnimount, and Chief.

You can appreciate this: I plan on buying this now and working with the builder to recess it into the fireplace chase so that when I push it in it will be completely flush. Wires and all.

That'll be a nice touch! Just do a thorough inspection of the mount before doing too much custom work, and you'll be happy for years...
