Warren Haynes in Concert!

A few friends and I went to Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel in Providence last night to check out Warren Haynes. Boy this guy puts on a great show. His new album is different from his southern rock flavors. This is more R&B / soul oriented with a very tight back-up band (think The Roots).

He played the album for the first 1 1/2 hour and then took a little break. When he came back it was slam in your face Government Mule (Beautifully Broken )
Like night and day - the heavy guitar was on.

The encore was all blues complete with guest harmonica. A nice melody of Soul Shine - Tupelo honey - The Weight - back to Soul Shine ended the night.

A good time had by all. :music-rockout: :music-rockout: :music-rockout:

Picked up the CD while I was there.

Love that song Beautifully Broken. Mr Warren Fucking Haynes that's what I call him. One the great guitarists most dont even think about and a underrated singer too. You lucky dude he is high on my list as want to see.

I am a big fan of Warren also!!

Rock on baby, make that guitar sing!!

I'm a fan of Gov't Mule, although they can bring you down if you're in a good mood (kinda like Depeche Mode).
Fortunately, I'm usually a bottom-dweller...
