Supposedly their first new "studio" album in 8 years; I guess having an audience, all in headphones, in a larger venue doesn't count as a "studio" album. :think: The sound quality doesn't "seem" as good, don't know if I'm actually hearing a difference between a CD and their previous DVD audio, or I'm just swayed being able to watch the performances (this new one is just an audio CD). Will have to listen a few more times for opinions on the music/performance itself.
I DO have a strong and valid opinion on the new minimalist shipping packages for CDs: Shitty! just dropping the disk into a 5x7 bubble-wrap yellow envelope doesn't cut it, I've received far too many broken plastic CD cases (I now return every one to Amazoid for a replacement, hopefully they'll get the message). This new SP disk is in a cardboard "tri-fold", but again there was a deep impression right smack dab in the center of the shipping envelope, which was also on the case, and didn't break the disk but fractured the "center post" which mounts the disk inside the case.
This is pissing me off. :angry-cussingblack:
