Ok fair enough for the family room. How about the kitchen area?

It’s our primary family and entertaining space. Semi open concept and flows between new kitchen and family room. We also have a basement with a projector but we watch 95% of our tv in this family room. For the past 11 years it’s been 2.1 and it’s been fine.

In about 2 weeks we are beginning a major home renovation. This has been a long time in the making, we've been in this house for 11 years and always planned on doing this. Two years ago we did a phase 1 where we renovated the entire upstairs. In that phase we moved our laundry room upstairs...

Thanks for posting this @Botch . I have been watching DT for the past 6 months or so and noticed lately that Caleb had not posted a video lately. I didn't think too much of it, but now this all makes sense! I hope he weathers this storm and his new channel gains traction.

Something just occurred to me, what are your plans for the center channel? Are you removing that completely and letting L/R handle all of the front stage?
