the WiiM Amp arrived today and the Polk speakers have been ordered! The speaker wires have been run from the ceiling to the basement but I am probably going to wait to install the speakers until more of the kitchen work is completed. I will probably have the contractors guys hit the speaker...

I may gave switched gears from the Monoprice speakers to these. I need to double check that I have enough height between floors for these to install without much trouble. Polk Audio 70-RT

I ordered a WiiM Amp during Prime Day today, this will drive the kitchen in ceiling speakers. If I don’t like it, I figure it’ll be easy to sell on Facebook.

Hey @Botch, did you ever buy any WiiM products? If so, are you liking it? I am looking at them right now very closely to be used with my new in-ceiling setup in our new kitchen. Thinking about putting a WiiM Pro or Ultra in the family room and then a WiiM Amp or Amp pro to power 4 in-ceiling...

It’s our primary family and entertaining space. Semi open concept and flows between new kitchen and family room. We also have a basement with a projector but we watch 95% of our tv in this family room. For the past 11 years it’s been 2.1 and it’s been fine.
