Never gonna see those “rough spots” in that Black Hole of an HT!!!
So a minor set back.......
I moved the stands into the HT this AM.
OH SHIT!!!!
Limousine Leather has a significant brownish color to it.......... Never going to work in the HT.
So, I researched the color "BLACK" a little bit and call BM. The BM guy was great and said Limousine Leather has Yellow and Red in it. He told me to get the 792 80 BLACK. Headed up to the local ACE Hardware store and had them mix me up some "BLACK".
I just got done sanding the stands with 320 and giving them the first coat of "BLACK".
Let's see how they look. I will probably hit them with a second coat tomorrow and put them back in the HT on Monday AM.
The weather forecast next week is looking clear and warm in the mid to upper 60's. I should make major progress next week!

Wow, I'm surprised a "pencil"-style soldering iron could get hot enough to make a clean joint on a lug connector (granted, you have a variable-power unit, fancier than I ever had).
As a part-time bar musician, I was constantly building my own 1/4" and XLR-ended cables, and I had to use a Weller soldering gun, my pen-style iron just didn't give off enough heat to avoid a cold-solder joint (it worked fine for circuit boards, etc).
This Weller is a workhorse!
It is not variable powered.
I was IPC certified in soldering back then.
It gets extremely hot.
No problem at all working with 12 awg stranded wire and Associated lugs.
I have had it for at least 20 years.
It was used in manufacturing and lab work (prior to SMT) where I worked in the 1990's. I ran the product safety lab. It was a gift when I left the company.
