His daily YouTube video yesterday he proclaimed diffusion was superior to absorption. I'm no expert but I believe he way overstated this. I'm my opinion a combo is best in general but its room dependent in many aspects. Am I wrong?

They actually do remarkably well considering the ask/price.

They've become very subpar. Packing 7,9,10..amps into one low price small chassis is a tough ask.

Congrats! Denon's amp are even close to the same quality they were 10 years ago, nearly no receivers amps are. I'm sure they still sound and perform more then well enough for movies. Music as well, for most folks. If you have the amp use it for your main chanels. Nice buy.

I didn't notice any pre-outs on that unit, double check it. I bought my receiver/pre/pro and speakers from them, no issues at all. Check the yamaha offerings for lower priced 4k HDMI 2.0 and above offerings with pre outs, that's the way I went.

Both great choices! The Patriot is a riot if your into dry quirky humor. Think complete opposite of an Adam Sandler movie.
