Heat and storing speakers
For that length of time, extremes of temperature & humidity should be avoided as well as exposure to insects, dust, etc. If you have the original packaging it would help somewhat to protect them. -

Renovation of old amplifiers
I have a 20+ year old amp that seems to work OK for my 2 ch system, but given its age I'm wondering if I should consider "re-capping" it.
