    WiFI to replace HDMI?

This is a very interesting topic. I would like the not having to run cables through the wall and it sure would clean up behind my equipment. But like DH said having to upgrade everything would be the only downfall because I wouldn't upgrade just to be able to eliminate wires.

Small LCDs for TV and computer display advice

That's a good deal. One thing I forgot to realize was the computer monitors don't come with speakers. I've been busy lately but I plan on going and checking out the Samsung in my original post. Full HD + speakers = happy me lol I checked out this model over on AVS and people have had nothing...

Small LCDs for TV and computer display advice

I'm looking for a 19-23" LCD TV that I can use for my laptop and for TV. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations or first hand experience with a TV that fits my description. Price isn't a really big deal. Just looking for something nice and in that size range. I don't know if the...

    TV picture issues (pic included)

Just last night my parents TV picture went south. What could this be? I'm guessing the TV is done. Sad part is the TV is only 2-3 years old. http://i1108.photobucket.com/albums/h401/Tyler2106/IMAG0079-1.jpg The issue happens in all the different inputs. It happens when watching satelite...

    New TV, $1200 range

I just bought a Panasonic 50" S30 model. Even with all the lights on (making it very bright in the room) the picture still looks good. Turn off the lights and it's a great picture. Cost me just a little under $1100 from Sears.

    Onkyo Upgrades Receiver Line

Would the Onkyo TX-NR609 be a good upgrade from my current Integra 5.8? I'm more interested in if it would be much of an audio improvement more than video. From the specs they are very similiar. I'm just not sure if some of the new Onkyo features, like the Burr Brown DACs, would make it...

    Bought a Panasonic TC-50S30

Well I'm happy to announce that the TV was not the culprit. On my old LG TV when I switched the receiver's input I had to change the TV input also. Well, on the Panasonic is changes over immediately when the receiver input is changed. So, the receiver was upscaling the component input signal...

    Bought a Panasonic TC-50S30

The TV has never done this until last night. So I figured it was something wrong with the TV. I called Sears and they said just bring it in and they'll exchange it for me. Weird thing is is when watching satellite or playing my Xbox I can see the white area but when I was watching my PS3 I...

    Bought a Panasonic TC-50S30

Well looks like I will be calling Sears tomorrow about exchanging my TV for a new one. Tonight I noticed a white/gray area that pops up on the entire top part of my screen. It goes from the top of the screen to about a half inch down. Not too noticeable with a bright screen but when it's...

    Bought a Panasonic TC-50S30

Well I'm not quite in that club yet, I just have a little 50" ;) Honestly, I think the store displays do no justice for TVs, at least the ones I was looking at. When I went to Sears to check out the Panny and LG they both looked bad IMO. The blacks were grayish black and the colors didn't do...

    Bought a Panasonic TC-50S30

Well that's good to know. It's funny how much BS TV sales associates gave me when asking questions. I was told by one of the sales associate that those blacks bars aren't meant to be perfectly black and weren't a good indicator of black levels. Best one was that Sony's have the best PQ of any...

    Samsung PN50C550 question

I am really sad I wasn't able to get this set. I had read nothing but great things and was excited to buy it. I almost pulled the trigger on the 2011 model (PN50D550) but decided to go with the Panny instead. In store the 2011 model looked very impressive. Sales guy couldn't knock $70 off...

    Bought a Panasonic TC-50S30

Ya I realized this TV needs to be in a light controlled room. Once I turned off the front lights and or all the lights the picture looked good. I think I found good settings for the TV for the break in period. I just have to get the flesh colors adjusted. The black levels with the lights...

    Bought a Panasonic TC-50S30

So I just bought a new 50" 1080p plasma. The size is perfect for my seating area. So far I have messed around with the picture only a little bit and so far am not impressed with the PQ. I'm going to put in some movies that I know very well and see what I think. I know this is a middle level...

    LG 50PV450

Anyone seen this TV in action? How were the black levels? I'm trying to find reviews on this set but having a hard time finding in depth reviews. I'm guessing the black levels are decent but not on the same level as Samsung or Panasonic, I could be wrong. I'm trying to find 50" 1080p plasmas...

    Samsung PN50C550 question

What do you guys think of a factory refurbished tv? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Samsung+-+F ... Id=1324841 Comes with the same warranty as a brand new TV but at a discounted price. I have been looking for the Samsung PN50C550 and the Panasonic TC-P50S2 but am having a hard time finding new ones.

    Samsung PN50C550 question

Well I have always wanted a Panasonic plasma because I have always heard great things about them. It's just I was reading about their black level issues and was kinda turned off by that. I'm not sure how much I would notice the raising black levels but that is something I'm wasn't too excited...

    Samsung PN50C550 question

Over on http://www.plasmatvbuyingguide.com/ they have the Samsung PN50C550 rated as one of their "Top 10" plasma tvs. I went onto BB.com and saw that they have a Samsung model similiar but the model number was PN50C550G1F. I'm wondering if that is the same set and BB.com just added the last 3...
