Jeff that is terrible. I think I would lose it if someone set a cup of anything liquid on my pre/pro or amp. Liquid and electronics do not play well together and it has been my experience that electronics always lose.
As you know I am very selective with my equipment and while I am not finished this project has taken years. Now my wife understands this and is supportive.....but, why would she drape something over one of my speakers?
Does this happen to you and am I being a hard ass? Just wondering.
What? No one? This is one of the most knowledgeable groups I know. I also found this is not a shy group with no opinions.
So I am going to sit back, relax and :drinkingbeer:, until someone or many speaks.
I agree, if I was going to rewire the house I would get CAT-6 from Blue Jeans, that is where I got the CAT-5, but for a two foot run, I will go with the price point.
Actually, the Cat-6 cables I am looking at on Amazon do not cost any more then the Cat-5 and they have very high reviews. When I looked at Blue Jeans (where I buy most of my cable) they wanted a little under $15 for a 3 foot cable. I understand they have what I consider to be a superior...
I am making another attempt to clean up the wiring behind the scenes, one of the things I want to do is replace a 10 -12 foot network (Patch) cable that is going from one unit to another a distance of about 2-3 feet. My house is wired with Cat-5 does anyone one know if the Cat-6 is backward...
I am trying to get my remote to play nice with the Roku 4. So far I have been able to get the Roku to appear under "activites" on the remote, but that only works after I have turned everything on (TV, Pre-pro-Roku) and switched the pre-pro to the right setting. That entails at least two if...
Have you joined or consider joining Good Reads? It is a site for anyone who enjoys reading, regular people write reviews, it is very informative for someone like me.
Okay what happened? Did Tom and Jim send you a replacement? Was it outstanding? Where are the pictures? It has been 2 months and zilch....
Oops, never mind I found the new thread.

You record to your DVR? I hate to sound stupid but, how do you do that?
I'm not sure I understand the question. I had DVRs with Dish, Direct TV and several cable companies between 2003 and 2014. My current DVR is OTA. By definition, they all record.
Let me ask it another way. Do you still...
I understand speakers, at least I know what I like when I hear it. But, port hole and ported sub as apposed to a sealed cabinet? Roll off of the bottom end - flatter response down lower?
This is why I have a sub I spent $200 on 20 years ago. But, I have kick ass speakers, which I...

LOL - I thought it was BS as well. Then I checked on mopad and got a lot of hits on mopeds and decided it was right up there with poptarts. Not one to give up I kept searching and found mopads!! So they angle up 8 and 4 degrees as well as angle down 8 and 4 degrees or you can...
I didn't know you could get a sealed cabinet - I am not a carpenter or a fix it kind of guy, when I try I just screw things up worse. But, I am beginning to think I just may be able to pull something like this off. Just thinking.
Does the sound or vibration bother your neighbors? That is one of my main worries, well that and getting a sub that is really outstanding. (if that animal exists)
I have my center speaker sitting on what I guess you would call a TV stand, my components (prepro, amp, DVD) in it and the TV is mounted on the wall. It looks like an open faced piece of furniture. I was told that if I put plastic CD cases under my center speaker it would improve the sound...
Thanks Haywood. I have been doing a lot of research and have found lots of online streaming sites. CBS, Streamgaroo, Fox, Hulu, Sling, stream2watch with something called DonnaPlay which says it is free and live, but for pcs only from what I can tell.
If you aren't careful you will end up...
