I have no idea what alternative music is, anymore, but in my day it would include Aimee Mann.

Aimee is releasing a new album on March 31, and I am excited. I just pre-ordered the CD from Amazon after listening to two of the songs online. I love her dedication to writing and arranging complete songs which, while easy to digest, are more than a typical verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus, end. She also makes it sound so incredibly effortless, but if you pretend you are making the same music you realize how hard she is working to sound natural (much like Sheryl Crow).
Though this is a darker and slower album than her others, I cannot wait to get it.
