Best place to buy a TV?

How soon does your friend need to make this purchase? Is the used market an option?

I have a 32" Sony XBR that I'll be replacing soon and have no plans to recycle it. That'll be under your friend's budget.
 
Thanx for all the help guys, but I think the matter is resolved. Friend borrowed a TV from another friend and DirecTV guy couldn't get the TV to work. Friend's 16 y.o. daughter got the TV to work. I really have no idea what happened and I was only involved in one brief phone call.

But they have TV to watch now so they are good.
