Best Rock and Roll Songs......

So I wanted to throw up a few "Best Kick Ass Rock and Roll" songs of all time and see how everyone rates them.

I used only one song from each artist.... and in the spirit of Rock and Roll this list.... "goes to 11."

Pick only 3 of the top 11... good luck with that.


As you can see, the list is simply alphabetical.....
Don't try to "add" a song or artist... it's my list so deal with it! :teasing-neener:

I also have to question the list. While I like most of the bands on that list, I don't think some of them qualify as "best kick ass rock songs of all time". No mention of Guns and Roses? Motley Crue? I love Floyd, but "Comfortably Numb" is more of a laid back tune (though Gilmore's solo at the end is phenomenal) to me. Even with the three I picked (AC/DC, Hendrix, & VH) those are not my favorite rock out tunes by them.


Still....It's a lot better than some of those "100...of all time" lists that were on VH1 a few years back.

When I see lists like this, I will just choose my favorites from the list and not get caught up on the statement "best of all time". That statement is just way to subjective for something like music. bscene-buttred:

What about Aqualung, Freebird, Stairway to Heaven, Won't get Fooled Again, The Boys are Back in Town, Hotel California and artists like Metalica, GnR, and others?

Aside from Eruption (which is borderline okay), I am not at all impressed with that list.

Are you one of those guys who tries to act cool by stating you're "down with" the hard rock bands like Jimmy Buffet? hehehe

The problem with lists like this, is one day I'll think one song is great, and the next it will be a different song. All depends on my mood.
