"Classic" movies to watch with my kids?

Thanks all! Great lists. Yes they've seen all Star Wars and LOTR/Hobbit.

Oh - Fletch - yeah that's gonna go near the top of the list. Personally I'd put the Three Amigos up there in that same genre, not because it's such a fantastic movie, but because I watched it a lot as a teen. (Would you say I have a PLETHORA of pinatas?)

My daughter is 15- and for Halloween, she really enjoyed Secret Window and Sleepy Hollow.

other movies she really liked were Uncle Buck, My Cousin Vinnie, Mud, Napoleon Dynamite, Crazy Rich Asians, Back to the Future.

Yup...but...there's more.
Spent a bit of time crosschecking some "Best of" lists...but I'm trying to compile a full list for future reference.
As I think of them, I'll add. There's plenty I have forgotten about that were "great to me" movies.

It‘s a legitimate question ... with all due respect to DirtMerchant ... you can’t have more than 10 movies on an “All Time Great” list.

Not saying it's impossible. Just saying, it would take a sizeable amount time to really pick a Top 10, for me.
And, it's not something I've ever contemplated.
Maybe I'll spend some time during the pandemic picking a Top 10. Might eat up some time.

Just finished The Gods Must Be Crazy. I think the girls enjoyed it. I certainly did! Forgot how hysterical that movie is.

Of course, their first question anytime I bring a movie for them to watch is, "how old is this movie?" Like anything not produced in the past ~5 years can't be all that great.

Some kids just have no appreciation for the classics.
