Deadwood, worth it?

season two looks 'different'. character builds are different, the scenes look 'grown up' so to speak, like a summers past.

is it a good thing, yes, maybe, no, im not sure. at first i didnt like it, then later on, around the 3rd disc, i got used to it.

Solid series. Too bad it was abruptly screwed.

finally got to watch the ENTIRE season via netflix.

man, this makes me wanna buy it, even on dvd.

anyways, will justify the purchase when the set hits 80 something again on blu-ray.

so, for those who suggested i continue watching this, many thanks.

i gratefully enjoyed every moment of it.

i do wonder tho, as to when the show was cancelled, how much of an uproar it became, and why they did it. apparently the previous CEO liked the show, and this was his pet peeve, and well, after the new guy came in, he dumped it like an old whore.

to be honest, i felt it was a little bit harsh for me. but then again, after you get past the cussin and all, you'd find a jewel of a show.

at least this ones way better than spartacus. man that shows a soft porn in my book.

there were so many moments, and i loved the experience.

if ever i would win the lotto, id be building a deadwood theater (i know someone on blu-ray.com has one, but more or less an inspired theme. not a western one.)

When Deadwood premiered the wife and I watched it but had a hard time getting past the language. This is coming from a guy who is not offended in any way by foul language, but it just seemed way over the top. Still the wife and I made it through the second episode, from that point on we were hooked.

Anyone who skipped this show due to language has done them selves a huge disservice, one of HBO's best!

That's exactly how I felt, although I never went back to watch it. Not offended at all by bad language, cocksucker, but the little bit I saw, cocksucker, that's all it seemed to be about, cocksucker. Guess, I need to go back, mother fucker, and check the mother fucker out.
