How our states got their shapes - history channel

any time your ready the DC area and Baltimore have more than enough history to wet your wistle. Fort Washington. Mount Vernon, Custis Mansion, Arlington Plantation, (Cemetery), B&O railroad Round House, Fort Mchenry, Yorktown, Williamsburg,

We can arrange some fun drives and tours. I have a CD put together to help with collecting the history.

Here is a little digging for the history buff. Civil war, Arlington Cemetery was Robert E Lee plantation. He did not own it, He married a Custis and he managed the property. The Custis family own another plantation off Route 1 near Fort Belvoir and ajoining the Mount Vernon estate. George Washington was also Married to Martha (Custis).

George Washington Boy hood home is in Virginia down Route 301 and Route 3.

Down in that area is Stratford house. Home of Light Horse Lee.
Father to Robert E Lee.
