Let's play name that tune, by lyrics!!

Anyone, anyone????

Don't go changing, to try and please me
You never let me down before
Don't imagine you're too familiar
And I don't see you anymore...

:music-listening:

Luv ya just the way you are, Babs.
Since no one could answer my challenge above, I offer another one: the stunning saxophone solo on your tune above was not played by BJ's sax player, but rather my favorite altoist of all time, care of Dr. Wu.
Anyone?

Vows are spoken
To be broken
Feelings are intense
Words are trivial
Pleasures remain
So does the pain
Words are meaningless
And forgettable

I had to cheat on Batman's. Never would have gotten that one.

So what was the answer? It has me stymied too.

Hint: it was in HEAVY rotation in '89 and is a tune from my all time favorite band.

The great Phil Woods played alto on Just The Way You Are, my favorite alto saxist. He also did the incredible, single-take solo at 1:30 on the Dan's Dr. Wu:

What is this that stands before me?
Figure in black which points at me
Turn around quick, and start to run
Find out I'm the chosen one
Oh no

"Well now she don't care if I'm stoned or sloppy drunk"

Any guesses?

I had some help with a guy I work with...Depeche Mode??? Jimmy gets the credit for this one, if it is indeed correct.

Anyone????

Summer of '96, I got my first guitar
I played it till my fingers said
"You're gonna be a star"
Grunge was everything, at least it was to me
A Marshall in my Chevy Sprint
Just running down a dream

Just seen this in unread posts I got this.

ZZ Top- She Loves My Automobile

Willie Nelson does a fine rendition of this actually he may have wrote it. I'm unsure but I am sure one thing its an excellent song.

"And the battle's just begun
There's many lost, but tell me who has won
The trench is dug within our hearts
And mothers, children, brothers, sisters
Torn apart"

Depeche Mode - Enjoy the Silence

I'm guessing you probably wouldn't have a problem with any lyrics I were to contribute to this thread either...

^^ I wouldn't. Hey, we all have our tastes... :eek:bscene-drinkingcheers:

And...in fairness to Babs, she did the group on the first one.
