Zing referenced this a while back in another thread.

Anyone?

No we can't dance together
No we can't talk at all
Please take me along
When you slide on down

NICE, with the nineteenth! :eusa-clap: :eusa-clap: :eusa-clap:

We were watching the 'Dukes of September'. I was fairly certain you would nail it! One of my DF favorites! I gain more respect for him every time I watch him preform. What an incredible & unique talent he is.

Look in the mirror and tell me
Just what you see
What have the years of your life
Taught you to be
For the record, this was "Hold On" by Kansas.

Well you wore out your welcome with random precision, rode on the steel breeze.
Come on you raver, you seer of visions, come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner, and...

Anyone get this one?

"... and oh he used to laugh at me 'cause I refused to ride
on all those double-decker buses,
all because there was no driver on the top."

I'm kinda disappointed that a forum full of audiophiles didn't get this one. :|

Hint: It's the last track on her best album (sales and critical acclaim). With guest vocals by Cheech and Chong. And she needed braces.

Sounds like Joni Mitchell but have no Idea of the song not a fan. The teeth gave it away.

DingDingDing! We have a winner!

From Joni's Court and Spark. :handgestures-thumbup: :handgestures-thumbup: :handgestures-thumbup:

^^^ Well I cheated, but I just found out the other day that this artist originally did a song made famous by the Counting Crows. We did not know she originally did that song.^^^

Here's one:

She took all my money, wrecked my new car.
Now she's with one of my goodtime buddies,
They're drinkin' in some crosstown bar.

I know! FZ always ended his shows with that one.

So give you ID card to the border guard
Your alias says you Captain John Luke Picard
Of the United Federation of Planets
'Cause they won't speak English any ways

Banditos by The Replacements. Awesome, awesome song.

*
"Gold watch, diamond ring,
I ain't missin' not a single thing.
And cuff links, stick pin,
When I step out I'm gonna do you in."

. . :ugeek:

"Can't think of anything to do
my left brain knows that
all love is fleeting
she's just looking for something new
and I said it once before
but it bears repeating"

* Hint: It's one band's original but was covered by a female that many of the regulars here may be more familiar with...

^ Stymied!!!

I will add another...

When you're down in troubles
And you need some love and care
And nothing, nothing is going right
Close your eyes and think of me
And soon i will be there
To brighten up even your darkest night

A beautiful song that everyone needs to pass on, every now & then!
