You have a a moderatly badass audio system and you haven't used it properly in some time. The kids are out of the house and you and your wife want to watch a great movie. GReat+ good plot, good visual good to great sound. You really wanna impres your wife with your new $35 sub woofer. What would you rent or go buy at the store?

Oh and I also have VUdu access. I was thinking Battle for LA.

Live Free or Die Hard - great sound, very entertaining pop corn flick.

I know you are looking for great sound but Baraka is an amazing film, especially on the visual side.

Also the newer True Grit.

I almost forgot - Ninja Assassin has a good story line, great action and amazing sound.

Puhleese. That $35 is the best piece of audio equipemtn I have ever owned!

You have heard the story right? I mean you have go t to be pullin my chain.

hmm, the best movies ive seen recently ive posted in the movies watched thread...

But to demo stuff, hmm... something recent....

Source Code was a bawl to watch. definitely worth my money to buy.

OH OH OH!

The Town!!!

*edited*

For your viewing pleasure, 13 Assasins would be nice too.

Second vote on True Grit.

Kill the Irishman is more of a cleveland er... 70s flick (but no overly dressed 70's men)...

Its a great movie, a rental for others, i did a blind buy on it.

SO...

The Town (great surround overall)
Kill the Irishman (a number of bombings in the movie)
Source Code (its NOT as predictable as others think - great audio)
True Grit

Did you buy Tron Legacy yet? Its not the strongest story, but if you want to bust your subwoofer a new nut, this would be the material you want. My sub has a hernia.

LOL Zing!

max,

What about Heat? That scene with the city gunfire is pretty impressive.

Orbison, I believe that title is "Saving Private Ryan" unless of course you were referencing the porn version, "Searching Ryan's Privates" in which case I stand corrected. :happy-smileygiantred:
