Ryan Adams cover of Taylor Swift's "1989"

I'm a pretty big Ryan Adams fan and Tay Tay's "1989" album has a couple of annoyingly catchy tunes so I couldn't resist checking this out. Adams said he was going for a Springsteen "Nebraska" vibe with his covers. Thus far I have to say my fav is Blank Space:

From http://www.thedailybeast.com/articl...1989-turns-taylor-swift-into-springsteen.html about Blank Space:
Adams dials up the seduction levels of Swift’s lyrics about reckless love with half-whispered vocals and acoustic guitars, creating an air of both intimacy and regret. Whereas Taylor’s take on the song was a brilliantly defiant takedown of the narrative gossip blogs have assigned to her dating life, Adams’s is an actual, sincere apology to future lovers for the hurt he thinks he’s bound to bring. Both artists have been through a number of painful public breakups—Adams’s five-year-long marriage to Mandy Moore ended just this year—making his decision to internalize blame, rather than defy it, all the more telling. And sad.

I too am a Ryan Adams fan. I listened to this album today on spotify and I just couldn't get into it.

^Are you a Springsteen fan? Aside from a couple songs, I'm not, and I find the judicious use of reverb here by Adams a bit annoying.

I like Springsteen ok. I dont listen to all the deep cuts like some fans but I generally like his style.

This album just was a swing and a miss for my taste.
