SqueezeBox Duet - Controller Options?

Under Settings on the Nokia, do I need to have Internet Sharing enabled? Because it will not let me do that?

I know norhing about Squeeze server so im only grasping here...

You mentioned the web browser bing. Bing is a search engine. Use Explorer.

So, I guess I need to download explorer?

When I hit the Explorer Icon on the opening screen it defaults to bing?

OK, Found Explorer and typed in the address.....................

We're having trouble displaying this page................

So here is the $10,000 question.

I am using my new Nokia 510. How do I connect to my PC in the Homegroup so that I can access the Logitech Media Server Web App?

I tried to put in the http://127.0.0.9000/ to connect with the Nokia however it does not connect.

Thanks!

Here's my $10,000.00 question.
What purpose does connecting to the web based control SB serve?? What is to be accomplished?

Explorer is a web browser just like Firefox is. Bing is a search engine. Try coming up with the Audio annex in your explored web browser . Then delete that and put in your Squeezebox address. It doesnt even have to have the HTTP crap . Just try the numbers 192.168.0.XX:9000 . If it is having problems displaying the page either you don't have the correct url or your syntax is slightly off.

I verified the correct numbers in explorer.............

Page will not be displayed.................

frustrating................... :angry-banghead:

Im wondering if your phone is on the network. Can you display ANY page in explorer? This forum for example?

Open the explorer app. The place to type web addresses is at the bottom.

For me the web control is

Code:
http://192.168.0.160:9000/

What you need to do is find out the local network IP address of the host you're running squeezebox server on (or media server or whatever the hell they're calling it these days). Replace "192.168.0.160" in my URL above with your computer's address. Unless you've changed the server settings (unlikely), the :9000 part will stay the same.

And yes, testing your web browser to make sure you can address web sites in general is a good idea too - e.g. just go to google.com or whatever and make sure at least your browser and network connectivity are functioning.

You may also have security settings on your squeezebox host machine that could prevent access (to port 9000)...

IPv4 = 192.168.1.132+:9000

Yes, I am getting to the Internet via my wireless router, had to enter the password, so access to the web from the phone through my wireless router works.

From SB Server:

Server IP Address: 192.168.1.2
Server HTTP Port Number: 9000

I enter that an it tells me "Page cannot be displayed"

You're not doing anything crazy like running two networks are you?

Is your computer plugged into the same router that is providing WiFi for the phone?
Have you tried installing the squeezbox app fom the Windows store on your phone?

Finally... As the good doctor suggested, there may be a setting in the router or PC preventing access to 9000.

I have a "guest" log in on my wireless network. If I use that log in and not the he network log in setup in SB Touch it will not connect.
