The Avengers - spoiler free review

Those who know me well here know what a huge Marvel comics fan I am, I still have a huge comic book collection so I could share my first hobby with my son. Let me say after some disappointments of the hollywood suits messing up some of Marvels hero movies, this one did not. I'm so glad Marvel stepped up to take back control of their characters to do the movie the right way! Marvel has done great job with putting the peices together to bring The Avengers to big screen for fans like myself, who thought I would never see in my lifetime and to be able to share it with my son is great! Josh Weldon has crafted a outstanding movie doing all of The Avengers justice, I love this movie so much I have saw it twice on Friday and yes I took a off day to see it. I did not see the 3D version I might go back to see that version later in the week, for those of you who have not seen it yet stay to the very end of the credits. There are two clips one mid credits and one more after.

C'mon man you know it's Marvel lol!

I honestly thought that the one I DID see was big enough that there wasn't another one coming. That and since I snuck away from work I had a more than a few things to catch up on.

Anyone ever catch the animated series on Disney XD? I have to say it's pretty damn good for a cartoon.

Now I'm totally stoked to see this movie!! I guess I need to catch up on Captain Ametica first. I've seen the rest.
Sweeeeet!

I have and it is pretty good.

On another note I just gone watching the Ed Norton Hulk and it is a fav of mine but I think it is really an under rated film.

Very good CGI and terrific surround and bass. And the storyline was not bad.

These characters were created by Stan Lee a very long time ago and have inspired so many creative and talented artists and story tellers. How cool is it that in Stan Lee's twilight years the technology is finally available to allow so many more to enjoy them? It's cool that he's still around to see how successful the movies are.

But it is too bad Jack Kirby was not able to see his artwork interpreted in film.

I have said before I don't care for 3D, don't hate it but prefer 2D.

Well I just found out that a nearby theater added an IMAX setup and they are showing this in IMAX 3D. Having never seen that format would it be worth it?

I am happy that this thing is getting good reviews from you guys!

NOW IF THEY WOULD JUST MAKE A MOVIE BASED ON THE 'SECRET WARS' LIMITED SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think a Civil War story-line is more likely.

For those that don't know... Marvel ran a crossover series involving all of the top books simultaneously. Basically, following a super-hero vs super-villain fight that resulted in the death of innocent children, the government enacts a law requiring all supers (hero's and villains alike) to register, give-up their secret identifies, and become paid employees of the government.

No I'm talking about this Secret Wars.

To further clarify MZ, I doubt that this film in 3D will convert you to a 3D fan but it's not distracting and IMO worth tolerating for the IMAX experience...

Well I was convinced until I discovered it was 6.50 to see it "standard" but 14.00 to see it at the IMAX. (matinee senior prices)

More than double.

Hmmmmm
