Been back in an Afrobeat/Afrofunk kind of mood of late. The horns, percussion, bass...I freaking can't get enough of this genre.

I love the opening horns on "Water No Get Enemy"

Just got this in recently. My favorite track is Heaven and Hell. Great tune. It's different, but I like it.

And my personal favorite from this genre.......

Peter King. The more I hear his music, the more I love it. Jo-Jolo has a lot going on in that track and it has become one of my favorites to play when demoing speakers. It would be awesome if the rest of his discography was re-issued on CD. I have 6 of his 9 albums. Four were reissued on CD recently, the other two are vinyl to flac copies.

^^^ After watching APP's new concert video in Colombia a few times, I've been doing some research and planning on updating my old cassettes to CDs. They did record an all-instrumental album which had never been released by itself, but is included in a reasonably-priced box set which includes all their albums; I'm tempted.
I was also under the impression that the band in the above concert featured most if not all the original vocalists, they sounded so close. Turns out, none of the band singers were on the original recordings, including Alan Parsons himself! The Wikipedia article lists twenty-four different vocalists on the original studio albums, wow!
The Wiki article also makes no mention of the Colombia concert, needs to be updated (they also performed in only 3 cities in the US this year, and oddball places at that).
