One awesome talent. One acoustic six-string. And too many finger-squeaks to put this into the "Stellar Recordings" thread. But still, fantastic!

Admittedly, my experience with Hiromi is quite limited (I own just one CD and have heard a half dozen clips/samples/videos from her) but it seems like she wants to be known for playing faster than Bruce Hornsby. I can all but hear her saying "If Bruce can play a solo with 64th notes, I'm going to play an entire song with 128th notes." No feeling, no soul; just speed.

!!!
I love Bruce Hornsby, but there's only one adjective I'd never use for him: fast!!! He's more a lyrical player (to me), like Mark Knopfler.
Hiromi reminds me much more of Chick Corea: fast, yes, but huge communication, cool ideas, precision, and a lot of humor.

Think we need to have a Sonicbloom concert at the next GTG.
