I've just upgraded the forum software to Xenforo 2.0. Please let me know if you have any problems with it. I'm still working on installing styles... coming soon.
I bought this awhile ago and finally got around to playing it this morning, didn't realize it was a 5.1 SACD! Morricone added cello solos to many of his movie themes (The Good, The Bad, The Ugly; The Mission; Moses; The Untouchables, etc) and it sounds really good; may have to add it to the Stellar Recordings thread.
My favorite Russian cover band, Leonid and Friends, WITH Strings!
This is my favorite song from my second-favorite band, of All Time, and I have tears running down my cheeks right now.
Yes! Three guys from the seminal band Jellyfish formed The Lickerish Quartet. Got their new disk, sadly just an EP, but there is more songcraft and musicianship in these four tunes than many bands have in their entire catalog. Pure Ear Candy!
There's been a dearth of younger ewe-tubers who video their own reactions to older songs that they have "supposedly" never heard before; a popular one right now is two kids hearing this for the first time.
EDIT: I just noticed that's a 2015 or 2016 remix, headed to EweTube to listen!
Okay, just listened to the remix. Sounds like they killed much of the reverb on his solo vocals (up front), and incresed the number (or volume) of the echos later on. Otherwise, not much of a change (his facial photo was the most noticeable change!)
EDIT II: I hadn't done a direct comparison, I'm relying on (what) 15 year memory?
This is a sampler of various artists and as far as I know only available vie Amazon Music 50 different artists listened to about 10 songs John Prine is the only one I am familiar with
