What Movie(s) Did You Watch Today?

Watched this one last night............the 5.1 is unbelievable!!! :happy-smileygiantred:

Denise Richards acting is pretty bad in this one.

^ Yeah, Denise Richards being cast in that or any other movie that requires any semblance of acting chops is a joke...clearly they just wanted to get some of the younger crowd into the theaters.

Me and the GF watched "Lean on Me" last night (old Morgan Freeman movie) anyway I was amazed to see a very young Michelle Rodriguez in such a prominent role in that movie. Heck she must have been 14 in that movie.

Today we are going to see Battle LA and Rango double feature. :banana-rock:

Yeah Battle LA sucked big time, not even worth a rental IMO, just one long drawn out simple battle that we have seen a million times already in other way better movies.

Rango on the other hand was friggin hilarious, It was hilarious watching this and seeing how all the kids in attendance were just confused and not understanding the movie, while the adults were howling with laughter. I loved it and is going to be a must buy for me. The animation and characterization was spot on on most every western you have ever seen and the "cameos" were hilarious.

Watched the Patriot............Mel Gibson before he went crazy.........awesome on the 5.1 !!

Could not find a good DVD cover photo!!

Wife and I watched this one yesterday....serious guilty pleasure for me. LOL!

Deserved every bit of acclaim it received. Bale was simply amazing, I see now why he was such a heavy favorite to win an Oscar with this performance.

I picked this up at RedBox to watch tonight. It'll be the first non-animated thing I watch since putting the system back together. Looking forward to it.

The Fighter was really good, you should enjoy it.

Watched Shutter Island today, was enjoying the crap out of it but was ultimately disapointed by the last 10 minutes. :handgestures-thumbdown:

I did enjoy The Fighter despite going into it with high hopes. Great flick but Christian Bale is suuuuuch a better actor than Mark Wahlberg. I'm not sure it's fair to call his role "supporting".

^ Bale "disappeared" into that role...and his physical transformation was disturbing as well. I don't think Wahlberg is THAT bad of an actor but Bale simply overshadowed EVERYONE in that movie, even the other Oscar-nominees...

We watched...

Great performances and has it's place in the Hanibal world, although similar to Manhunter which is a very good film.

Also saw Jackass 3 I was rolling when they tossed Bam into the snake pit. He always is such a hard ass on others but seeing him crying like a girl was hilarious.

Yes that was too funny! He was whinning like a little bitch, he can dish it but was not to cool with taking it. One of my favs was "Taser Hallway" I had tears running dwn my face and my stomach was killing me!

I was totally impressed with all the acting in The Fighter. Bale was amazing!!! Walburg was the least impressive but all other actors were also outstanding!

Melissa Leo won the best female supporting role and Amy Adams got nominated. It's rare that in a single movie the starting actor gets trounced by supporting actors.

For some strange reason, when I watched "Grown Ups" it totally reminded me of some of our GTG's
