Wow I can't belive this was that long ago! I ordered this when you posted about it, just got around to watching it today. Excellent stuff! The only one of these guys I kinda knew before was Leland Sklar, not actually sure how/why. Anyway, thanks @heeman for the recommendation!

Had some digital credits with Amazon so decided to rent Flow based on the 97/98 Rotten Tomato scores. We ended up watching it two nights in a row. If you're a cat person, you'll definitely enjoy. If you're not, maybe it'll nudge you that way. No humans, no human dialog, and no need for either.

Note: Three of the four cats that have allowed us to take care of them have been black, so that may account for part of the appeal for us. :)

Looking forward to this one.

Watched The Gorge on Apple TV+ it was OK but not great. Some decent creature hoard fighting scenes if you are a zombie hoard fighting video gamer you might appreciate these visuals. Otherwise a little cheesy we thought.

We watched it Saturday streaming on MAX. As cat people we definitely loved it so thanks for the heads up. But also just as a straight up creative and compelling little animated movie we also loved it.

The almost deliberately vague setting was very cool... never really sure exactly where or when on the planet Earth this story was being told. We especially liked the mystical ascension scene at the top of the temple/tower when the injured bird passed on after essentially gave his life for to protect his new cat friend... witnessed by the cat... and then later the cat looking up towards the same temple/tower in the final scene feeling some sense or mortality as the beached whale prepares to make a similar final journey. And more little things like how the wacky lemur monkey critter finally decided that his friends were more important then his material possessions and trinkets. The whole bond that developed between the flood/catastrophe ship mates was great. Lots of hidden little lessons and metaphors in what otherwise appears to be a super simple movie on the surface. I hope a lot of people give this one a chance it was far better and more substantive then we expected. Some scenes were downright harrowing especially as cat owners.
