Got it! I'm liking it so far, just need fine tune the set-up. Found an open box at a local mom and pop store for $330, but they cannot locate the microphone to do the speaker set-up.
I was looking at buying the Logitech 700 remote, but would like to know if it can to very specific things first.
My Direct-TV remote is a basic universal, it will adjust volume on my receiver and change inputs on the TV, however...
I want to know if the Logitech can do these things:
1. Will...
Ok peeps..need opinions
I have an older (8yrs?) Harmon Kardon 230, and it seems to be getting a bit tired, shutting off in "protect mode" very often. This happened since we got cable tv last week. We used to watch TV over the air at -40 to -35dB and now we have to turn it up to like -20dB and...
As anyone had luck with the current products out on the market? Amphony gets mixed reviews, but it is one that I found that works on 5.4 GHz.
Any input would be helpful.
Thanks
Well I want to update my receiver to one that has HDMI in/out.
I have loved my Harmon Kardon paired with my Klipsch Reference speakers, but alas I need to update.
I would like to go as inexpensive as possible...now engaged and with a house, my disposable audio funds go to garden beds and patio...
Is there a receiver out that I can stream my laptop to?
We watch comcast on demand using a friends account and instead of dragging out the 20' HDMI cord and hooking it up to the laptop I would like to stream right to the receiver. I need a new receiver anyways.
I want something that will...
My girlfriend and I recently bought a 50" HD TV which we plan to wall mount soon.

I now want a receiver that has has HDMI inputs, to not only limit the amount...
If possible I would go to a Guitar Center near you and have a listen. I ended up buying a pair of M-Audio stereophiles with 4" driver on a super discount.
Just thought I would pass that along. I was there earlier in the week and was looking at it, I like HK but this one seemed very light and kinda "plasticy" but for $200, might be a good deal?.

50" LCD insignia for $499...worth looking at I think
Two issues it seems to have: low color vibrancy and blur with fast motion
???
Would love to but right now we just have her Boston Terrier that snores though most anything!
I think a lot of what she wants it for is to see if/who is at the door, the front door has glass panes that kinda defeat the purpose of a peep hole. When we are together longer I will push the doggie...
I assume many of you have home security cameras. i am looking into getting a 2 camera set up for my house.
My dream list:
1.Wireless (i don't know where I would plug into a power source and am not handy with snaking down walls and putting in outlets)
-one that doesn't interfere with the wi-fi...
That's how I've been running it. The only input I have is the PS3. For now we are just running OTA antenna. I was thinking I wanted the HDMI inputs for convenience and the BluRay audio formats.
Yes i need nothing more than a 5.1, actually I'm not even running surrounds at the moment; it's a 3.1...
Since I am have moved in with my girlfriend I have decided that her old CRT has got to go; but that's a different topic.
