It's also worth $8.24 new, you cheap bastard! :eusa-whistle:

Eh, once I rip it to the server, it doesn't matter. :happy-smileygiantred:

Well, in that case, how 'bout I give you $0.75 to take Quadrophenia off my hands?

Already got it, from the last time Flint was pimping it... admittedly, haven't listened to it much yet.

Ok I like this one; so far I like it a lot more than "Love's Been Rough On Me." Pretty good recording quality, too, a fairly live feel to it. Unfortunately I discovered that the root chord bass note in the first track is exactly at one of my room nulls... I was trying to figure out why I couldn't hear the bass note that I knew must've been there, then moved my head around a bit and yeah it's there - the subs are producing the note - I just can't hear it (much) from my sweet spot. :angry-banghead: :angry-banghead: :angry-banghead: I hate discoveries like this, esp. since I don't have an easy way to fix it.

I don't remember which thread this one came up in, but I think it was Srvy that recommended this band? I got this album a while ago and it's pretty much been sitting on my shelf since. "rediscovered" it when I was organizing my cd collection (with those new shelves I posted about elsewhere). This is really good stuff! Some good blues, some more blues-rock style, good singing (both male and female leads), good guitar, good SQ. The tracks "Have a Real Good Time" and "Evil Train" really rock! :banana-rock:

Anyway thanks Srvy or whoever it was who brought them up.

Thanks for bringing attention to "Wrong Side Of The Blues" by Trampled Under Foot, guys. ` ` :handgestures-thumbup:
It got a positive editorial review on Amazon too . . . .

Editorial Review ~
"The Wrong Side Of The Blues fulfills the buzz for Kansas City's TRAMPLED UNDER FOOT. Siblings Nick, Danielle, and Kris Schnebelen have been rocking audiences on worldwide festivals and Blues Cruises, and this new breakout CD will surely thrill and increase their rapidly growing legion of fans."

I'm putting it on my list of music to pick up.
I'm always up for some good, new blues music.

Just got another of theirs (Trampled Under Foot) in the mail, spinning it up now... so far so good! :music-listening:

I'm liking this one more and more:

Somewhat more traditional blues, obviously heavily guitar-based, but a good mix of guest artists on here. Great live energy.

And no it's not quite as high on my list as a certain other blues guitarist :teasing-tease: but KWS is definitely talented. "Blue on Black" is a particularly powerful track on this one, IMHO.

I'll have to give them a listen...however, their name suggests something else to me:

Got this a while ago, finally had a chance to sit and listen to the whole thing. Good concert! Too short though... she even said onstage that she wanted to do Mother Marian (remember my thread about that song?) but didn't have time. :handgestures-thumbdown: I really wish I could see her doing that one.

I experienced some "culture shock" going from that Return to Forever video to this one. It's just Rory on a small stage with her guitar. Very raw, very intimate. She even does a couple of acapella songs; she's a very emotional singer. It's a good glimpse into the personal emotion she puts into a performance, that's hard to get from a studio recording. I certainly got some of the feeling of the old traveling blues man style in this one, she does a good job of preserving this particular blues heritage. I also like how she talks to the audience during the set and gives some of the stories behind the songs.

Good concert, I recommend it highly to any fan of Rory's. (Warning: PQ is kinda marginal even for SD DVD... but it's not really that important here.)
