Current Recommendations for HT Pre/Pro

In my experience, there is a difference between using a pre/pro and a receiver's pre-outs. While the differences are definitely subtle, they are also definitely real.

Thanks Jeff,
I like my little sub and it works for just what I need in my small place. I too think it sounds great.... Just miss the really BIG sound and IMPACT of that Servo-15 at loud levels. That sub will always have a place in my heart.

Razz, what speakers are you running these days? Didn't you have Contours at some point?

If you get a refurb get the Squaretrade warranty. It may be the easiest thing I've ever done. I filled out the stuff online, sent the item back and had payment in a few days for replacement. Even got an extra 10% by getting it as an Amazon GC but could have gotten a check or PayPal deposit. Thing is I thought the unit was defective (refurbed Kenwood radio) but turns out my car has an amplified antenna and I needed to hook up the power antenna lead....still they took it based on my description and receiving the item.

Well, my friends search came to an end yesterday. He was able to find a local seller on craigslist with an immaculate Marantz AV7005 for $750. I went out with him to look at it and buy it. It was an older guy with a really nice HT room. He upgraded to the Integra 80.3. He had all of the purchase documentation and box etc... so I think he got a killer deal.
